Maple Pecan Granola

Let’s talk about easy breakfasts. There are two things I make every single week to make breakfast easier including hardboiled eggs and granola.

Granola is so healthy and versatile. Sometimes we put it over yogurt, french toast or as an add-in to our store-bought cereal to give it more crunch. When we’re feeling fancy, we make a parfait layered with granola, chia pudding, yogurt, jam and fruit. 

This granola recipe is so simple with just 5 base ingredients. Sometimes we add cinnamon, dried fruit, chocolate chips or dried coconut, but the base recipe is so good and easy you could make it in your sleep. 

Each week, I make a batch and store it in a big mason jar on the counter until it runs out. 

Ok, so I said 5 ingredients but only pictured 3. So let’s pretend there is oil and salt pictured here. Maybe I’ll get some fancy, clear measuring cups and mixing bowls eventually to display everything.

Preheat the oven to 275º. In a small mixing bowl, combine the oats, pecans, maple syrup, salt and oil (such as sunflower, canola or coconut).

Spread onto a baking sheet and bake for 35-45 minutes, keeping an eye on it, until it reaches your desired crunchiness.


  • 2 cups oats
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup pecans


  • Preheat oven to 275º.
  • Mix ingredients and combine well.
  • Spread across a baking sheet and bake for 35-45 minutes.
